The Epoch Times
The Epoch Times is a global multi-language newspaper that was founded in 2000 in the United States. It was established by Chinese-Americans who wanted to provide an alternative media source to the communist-controlled media in China. Today, it has expanded to more than 35 countries, and it covers news and stories from various parts of the world. In this essay, explores the history, editorial stance, and impact of The Epoch Times newspaper.
The Epoch Times has a unique editorial stance that is conservative, and anti-communist. Its reporting focuses on topics such as traditional values, human rights, and freedom. In recent years, the newspaper gained notoriety for its coverage of the 2020 US Presidential Election, which was often criticized for spreading misinformation about election fraud. The newspaper also gained attention for its promotion of conspiracy theories about the origins of COVID-19, which led to it being banned from advertising on Facebook.
Despite its controversial stance and reputation, The Epoch Times has won numerous journalism awards, including the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Award for excellence in journalism. Its reporting on issues such as human rights abuses in China and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has been widely praised.
Overall, whether or not someone chooses to read Epoch Times depends on their personal preferences and beliefs. However, it is important to consider the organization's commitment to unbiased reporting, investigative journalism, and traditional values when evaluating its credibility and reliability as a news source.
Thoughts
The Epoch Times leans toward the conservative side, but it is a truly unbiased newspaper overall, the news section is reported the way things were way back in grade school many, many years ago, that a true journalist will report the What, When and Where of something in a neutral way. Not like most supposed journalist of today that always seen to write in opinion form. BUT IF IT IS OPINION you want, they have an entire section on opinions. But it doesn’t end there either, they then provide other section on Mind and Body, Life and Tradition etc. in our judgement it is the best and only newspaper to subscribe to.
